Recovery Conference to feature renowned speakers, variety of topics

Hosted by the UNT Office of Substance Misuse and Mental Health Recovery Research, the 5th annual Recovery Conference is a national three-day event that brings together behavioral health professionals, educators, researchers, students and industry leaders. Held in conjunction with National Recovery Month, the conference will take place September 19 – 21, 2017 at the University of North Texas.

Featured speakers include author, Noah Levine, Dr. John Kelly, and Dr. Andy Finch. Levine is the founding teacher and author of Dharma Punx, Against the Stream, The Heart of the Revolution, and Refuge Recovery. John F. Kelly, Ph.D., ABPP, is an award-winning addiction recovery researcher and an Elizabeth R. Spallin Associate Professor of Psychiatry in Addiction Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Andrew Finch, Ph.D., is the Associate Professor of the Department of Human and Organizational Development at Vanderbilt University and his research interests include the role of schools in continuing care for substance use disorders.
