Ala’i-Rosales to present at ABAI Conference in Paris

Shahla Ala’i-Rosales is the Director of UNT’s Behavior Analysis Online.

Associate professor of behavior analysis Shahla Ala’i-Rosales will be presenting an individual symposium at the Ninth International Conference of the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI). The conference is set to take place at the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel and Conference Center in Paris, France on Nov. 14 and 15, 2017.

Shahla Ala’i-Rosales, Ph.D., BCBA-D was invited to present at ABAI in connection with her recent article “Taking Full Responsibility: the Ethics of Supervision in Behavior Analytic Practice” published in the prestigious Behavior Analysis in Practice journal in 2016. The article centers on “The supervision of professionals in the field of behavior analysis” and further dissects the “BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysis” in order to explore “the subtle nuances inherent in …the supervision code, with the goal of achieving a better understanding of the Code and enhancing supervisory skills” [Sellers, Alai-Rosales & McDonald, 2016].

Ala’i-Rosales has been with UNT’s Department of Behavior Analysis since 1995, the project director of the North Texas Autism Project since 1997, and the Behavior Analysis Online director since 2016. Her peer-reviewed research been published throughout the United States and Europe.
