Sweeten receives 'Fessor Graham Award, highest honor given by UNT student body

Brenda Sweeten, MSSW, LCSW, clinical assistant professor of social work in HPS’ new Social Work Department, will receive this year’s prestigious 'Fessor Graham Award

“I am so honored to receive this year’s ‘Fessor Graham Award,” said Sweeten. “There are many wonderful faculty and staff at UNT who care deeply about the welfare of our students and this award is representative of all. I am truly humbled.”

This award is named for the late Professor Floyd Graham and is presented by the Student Government Association to a faculty member for outstanding and unselfish service to students.  This award is the highest honor given by the student body. Professors are judged on teaching excellence, outstanding and unselfish service, publications and scholarly work and length of service to the university and the community. The Award is presented each year at the Salute to Faculty Excellence Dinner and Ceremony.
