As the UNT ELEVAR Program Director, Dr. Trocki-Ables brings over 25 years of experience to this position. She is a lifelong special educator and has served students and families as an Adapted Physical Educator, Instructional Specialist, Autism Program Coordinator, Special Education Consultant, Director of Clinical Practice, and has been adjunct faculty at both Texas Woman's University and the University of North Texas.

Brenda Barrio is an Assistant Vice President for Research and Innovation in the Division of Research and Innovation and Associate Professor in Rehabilitation and Health Services at the University of North Texas. Her research focuses on the areas of disproportionality of students from marginalized communities and finding equitable and accessible ways to address this issue at the K-12 and higher education levels. Graduated from California State Fullerton with my BA in Communications. A decade of experience in higher education; previously worked in the College of Information and Student Accounting. Before joining the UNT family, I worked as a Purchasing Analyst at the University of California, Irvine. Passionate about supporting every student population at UNT.
