Meet Rosalind Evans, Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work

First, tell us a little about yourself.
Sarah Herrera is a licensed clinical social worker with much of her experience focused on providing therapy to survivors of trauma and students within education systems (K-12 and higher ed). She is a proud alumna of UNT and graduated with her BSW in 2013. She earned her MSW in 2015 at TCU and her Ph.D. at The University of Texas at Arlington in 2022.

Dr. Evans is a licensed master social worker with a background that includes working with youth at risk in Oklahoma and Texas high schools, alternative high schools, and middle schools. In those spaces, her interventions focused on providing students with mentorship, opportunities for cultivating socio-emotional awareness, life coaching, and professional development.
Dr. Sarah Moore is one of only 15 faculty from around the nation chosen for the elite opportunity.
Phi Alpha Honor Society provides a closer bond among students of social work, promotes humanitarian goals and ideals, and recognizes and promotes scholastic achievement among students and faculty involved in the undergraduate Social Work program at the University of North Texas. Phi Alpha fosters higher standards of education for Social Workers and invites into membership those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in Social Work.
Jose Garcia is one of two HPS students to earn this honor that only six students received university wide.
Earned my Master's degree from Texas State in 2006 and received my clinical license in 2010. Have worked in various inter-disciplinary settings such as Child Protective Services, hospital social work and as a therapist at a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center. Worked as a contractor with UNT to help develop the Trauma Certification course.
