Capstone Course Requirement for Public Health Students
All Public Health students are required to complete a capstone course in their final semester. Prior to enrolling in the course, students are required to complete the Public Health Internship Introduction. Public Health Internship Introduction is a self-paced course on Canvas that takes approximately one hour to complete.
The Introduction includes:
- The internship manual
- A video from Program Coordinator Dr. Naomi Meier
- A no-fail quiz to check for understanding
- A list of internship sites
Upon completion of the internship introduction quiz, students are required to email their advisor to inform them they have submitted the application.
You can find your advisor’s contact information by clicking here or emailing HPSAdvisingServices@unt.edu. The advisor will review your application and, if approved, grant permission to enroll in the course. If not approved, the advisor will reach out to you with additional information.
