Help others with a minor in public health.

The Public Health minor introduces students to the fundamentals of disease prevention and advocacy for health at local, community, and national levels. Courses draw on knowledge from social, behavioral, and health sciences.

Upon completion, students will gain the following competencies:

  • Ability to conduct epidemiologic analysis
  • Understanding of environmental problems and ways to combat them
  • Identification of disparities in health
  • Development of health programs for communities.

The Department of Rehabilitation & Health Services mission is to prepare professionals to enhance the lives of diverse populations including the aging population, individuals with disabilities, substance use disorders and/or chronic health concerns through training in advanced research, education and service delivery, or clinical practice.
