Do you want to help people with disabilities?

Our Certificate in Rehabilitation Studies gives you job skills and fundamental knowledge to provide rehabilitation services to people with disabilities. Rehabilitation professionals work in variety of programs that serve individuals with disabilities, including community rehabilitation programs, addiction treatment programs, disability accommodation offices in schools and universities, centers for independent living, psychiatric rehabilitation programs, state schools, residential programs and probation and parole offices. Courses are available through UNT’s main campus or 100% online.

UNT also offers a Bachelor’s Degree and a Minor in Rehabilitation Studies.

The Department of Rehabilitation & Health Services mission is to prepare professionals to enhance the lives of diverse populations including the aging population, individuals with disabilities, substance use disorders and/or chronic health concerns through training in advanced research, education and service delivery, or clinical practice.

Our department is comprised of community engaged academics providing an education that reaches beyond the classroom.
