The  Volunteer and Community Resource Management Certificate is designed for professionals and students who want to add a competitive edge to their careers through specialized training in volunteer management, leadership, community asset mapping, program planning and evaluation from an accredited university.

The certificate is for those who want to gain a professional level of competencies in volunteer and community resource management. It requires the successful completion of 12 hours in undergraduate volunteer and community resource management courses.

How do I apply?
  • Have a bachelor's degree from UNT or another institution.
  • Submit an application through ApplyTexas.org. Select the Undergraduate Transfer application and respond “yes” to questions asking if you are seeking a Second Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Select NPLS (BA) which the certificate falls under.
  • Once admitted, take only four classes required for the certificate.

Founded in 1992, the Department of Public Administration is located in the College of Health and Public Service.

Today the department's ten faculty and five professional staff serve more than 350 majors in these three programs.
