The Spring 2025 application cycle is open. All application materials must be received by August 30, 2024 at 5pm CST.
APPLICATION PROCESS
1. Submit your application to Apply Texas here.
Complete the UNT Graduate Application for your selected starting semester (Fall or Spring start date only) for the Toulouse Graduate School via Apply Texas. Designate Social Work as your intended major field. If you have an undergraduate degree in something other than social work, choose the “Traditional” subplan. If you have a BSW degree, choose the “Advanced Standing” subplan. When your ApplyTexas application is complete and submitted, you will receive communication from the UNT Toulouse Graduate School indicating that your application has been received along with instructions for setting up access to the MyUNT Portal. Please note this process typically takes at least two business days after submission of your application. Please contact Graduate Admissions at Scrappy Says for assistance with this process.
2. Submit official transcripts.
Please arrange for all official transcripts from all universities attended (both undergraduate and graduate transcripts, including community college transcripts) to be sent directly to:

Please do not send transcripts directly to the Department. They must be received by the graduate school for proper processing. More information about submitting transcripts can be found on the Toulouse Graduate School’s website here.
3. Submit UNT MSW Department Application.
A complete UNT MSW Department Application is required for all applicants. This form provides the department with needed contact information, your list of three professional references, and responses to a three-part personal statement. Letters of reference are not required; however, program faculty may reach out to listed professional references during the admissions process. Please note that your responses to the personal statement questions should be both complete and concise. Responses have a 500-word limit per question.
Once you have completed the UNT MSW Department Application, submissions must be uploaded to your MyUNT Portal by clicking on “To Do’s” then “Department Application” then “add attachment” and click save.
When all of the application materials listed above are received, you will receive communication from the UNT Toulouse Graduate School indicating that this portion of your application is complete and that your application has been forwarded to the Department of Social Work for review. Additional questions about this process should be directed to the Toulouse Graduate School.

Incomplete application portfolios are not reviewed by the admissions committee. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that all elements of the application have been received by UNT. Applicants should check their application status via the MyUNT Portal.
