Constance Richard is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation and Health Services at the University of North Texas. She received her doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a certified rehabilitation counselor. Her clinical work has been with transition-aged youth with disabilities on SSI, transition-aged youth with autism and co-morbid mental illnesses, and adults with serious mental illness. Her research and collaborations include work on hope, intersectionality and pedagogy, the career development of transition-aged youth, clinical judgment and training of rehabilitation counselors, and psychosocial adaptation and adjustment to disabilities.
