Dr. Sukyung Yoon's research aims to empower vulnerable older populations to enjoy happier and healthier later lives. Applying life-course perspective and stress-process model, Dr. Yoon is interested in identifying protective factors that offer vulnerable older adults, including immigrants, Native Americans, and violence survivors' inner strength to reduce or prevent the accumulative and negative impacts of adversity on mental and physical health over the lifespan.
